Paul Raine - AI: The Language Teacher's Friend or Foe?

AI presents both threats and opportunities to language teachers. As a language teacher and web developer, I find myself on the border between two worlds. AI offers incredible affordances to both teachers and learners, but it also offers the potential to bypass the pedagogical process all together. We have to figure out whether and how AI can complement the process of teaching and learning languages, and not replace it.
